Pirooz, an Asian Cheetah on the brink of extinction, emerged as a powerful symbol of hope during the Women's Life Freedom movement and the Iranian revolution. His untimely demise marked the transition of his spirit, seamlessly merging with the land that had nurtured him, much like our own connection to the divine while inhabiting our physical forms.

The profound affection we held for Pirooz served as a unifying force, galvanizing our collective determination.

In his honor, we persist in our revolutionary pursuits, unwavering in our commitment to achieve victory.

The woman life freedom movement in Iran has had a profound impact, not only within the country but also on a global scale. It has served as a catalyst for the first-ever woman-led revolution in human history, inspiring women around the world to stand up for their rights and demand change. This awakening has reignited the spirit of resilience and courage within their hearts, symbolized by the lion on our national flag, which has once again roared with strength and determination.

With a boldness to envision a future filled with freedom and joy, we are resolute in our commitment to transform this vision into a tangible reality. Just as the painting "Imagine" was brought to life through inspiration, we are inspired to bring about a society where women and men can thrive and flourish, free from oppression and inequality.

Imagine

40 x 60 cm, Oil on Canvas, 2023

Throughout our existence, we continuously seek to discover our true selves. Those who are able to detach themselves from the confines of the world's narratives and delve into the essence of life, introspectively explore their purpose and identity. In doing so, they come to understand that we are interconnected and form an inseparable part of the boundless energy within the universe. Before entering this realm, we consciously select the role we will play.

I have often pondered whether our role changes as we grow and uncover our authentic selves. I have come to the profound realization that indeed it does. We possess the power to choose a different role and embark on a distinct journey during our limited time as humans. The animal kingdom symbolizes the diverse roles we have chosen.

The elegance and splendor of a Peacock's natural beauty is truly remarkable. I am captivated by the grace and pride it exudes, as well as the intention in its eyes that captivates the viewer. Additionally, the sunrise adds a striking contrast to the peaceful atmosphere, promising hope and serenity as the warm sunlight illuminates the surroundings.

Flow of Energy

The concept of our existence revolves around the understanding that we are interconnected and derived from energy, constantly in motion. We are not isolated entities, but rather interconnected with everything around us. This interconnectedness allows us to embody the energy of love and possess boundless power. This painting serves as a visual representation of this truth. Hands, symbolizing giving, receiving, and communicating, are powerful tools that enable us to convey and experience profound emotions through mere touch.

The power of manifestation resides within us, enabling us to bring forth our thoughts into reality. This power lies not in our physical brain, but in our spiritual mind, often referred to as our third eye. The extent to which we consciously manifest our lives depends on our level of self-awareness and the amount of energy we invest in our external surroundings.

This painting visually represents this notion, reminding us that we are not isolated and feeble individuals, but rather interconnected with our world and the boundless energy field. Our thoughts have the ability to influence the flow of energy and its manifestation in our physical realm.

Flames of Love is a depiction of an all-encompassing love, a deep connection where one recognizes themselves in another, an indescribable force that brings peace and joy while simultaneously consuming the soul with longing for the beloved.

Inspired by Rumi, this painting symbolizes the burning away of attachments, material possessions, outdated beliefs, the need for approval, and all aspects of our identity that we cling to and rely upon. In this state, everything that once held significance becomes insignificant. Your focus will be fixed on one point, one love, unable to see anything else. The intense gaze of the swan captures this profound intensity.

Who Am I?

This visual presentation explores the concept of oneness with the universe and the realization that we are all interconnected, despite our perception of separateness. It challenges the notion that our bodies are fixed entities, highlighting the deeper energy and soul that animates us. Rather than being limited and fragile, we are spiritual beings capable of co-manifesting with the universe.

"Sherry’s work is a real search for beauty, her works represent the desire to reach the aesthetic ideal that makes the soul of those who observe them palpitate. The opera “Who am I?” is very strong and impacts with the heart of the viewer, in it we can admire the perfection in the rendering of the female body, a delicate and sensual work at the same time. Sherry makes the woman the protagonist, so close to the observer but at the same time so far away, she is true and real because we perceive her presence but at the same time she seems to be from another dimension. A sort of divinity in flesh and blood, behind and around it seems to be moving the whole cosmos, perhaps it is itself part of the whole."Critiqued by Vanessa Vita @MADSMilano

"Meeting Sherry’s art means being pervaded by strong sensations, with calmness, through her works one gets to know the infinite and the absolute. With her art Sherry manages to shake the observer’s soul, pinches the strings of sensitivity and instills doubts in the observer. Her work is in fact the starting point for a long reflection."  Read more..

Here's what people say!

I am an Iranian Australian artist who discovered my passion for drawing at a young age through school projects. Although I was advised to pursue art, upon moving to Australia at the age of 12, I continued my focus to academics, immersing myself in English, a new culture, the only Artsy subject I could do that would be marked objectively for my HSC scores and would not adversely impact my chances for University was architecture. My interests were in Arts but also in Mathematics and Sciences. This academic path led me to obtain a Bachelor's in Medical Science before switching gears to Computer Science a year in. After a decade in IT, which I explored to the fullest, I furthered my education by earning a Master's in Accounting, diligently working towards establishing a new career.

However, by 2020, I came to the realization that the pursuit of a successful career, financial stability, and prestigious titles did not bring me the fulfillment I had anticipated. The stresses and realities of that life outweighed the rewards, prompting me to reassess my priorities during the Covid lockdowns. It became clear that I desired a different way of life, one that aligned with my true aspirations rather than societal expectations. So, without hesitation, I courageously walked away from my job and the securities I had built, embracing my innate passion for painting.

This bold move marked the beginning of a transformational period in my life. Embracing the joys of artistic expression, I found contentment, basking in the freedom to explore my creativity. Two years later, in May 2022, I embarked on another chapter of my journey by relocating to Italy, seeking new adventures and fresh inspiration. Now, I am utilizing my diverse skill set for personal growth, delving into my potential with each brushstroke. Each day brings an opportunity to learn, evolve, and uncover the depths of my artistic capabilities, and I eagerly anticipate what the future holds.
